Suppose a 3 and b 6 Find an exact value or give at least t

Suppose a = 3 and b = 6. Find an exact value or give at least two decimal places: sin(A) = cos(A) = tan(A) = sec(A) = csc(A) = cot(A) =

Solution

In the given question which is a right angle triangle,

a=3, b=6 .

c2 =(32 +62) by application of pythagoras theorum in the given triangle in question.

thus c=6.71

From the question ,in the triangle the base =6 ,the perpendicular is 3 and the hypoteneuse is 6.71

now by definition of trigonometric ratios we know

sin A =perpendicular/hypoteneuse

cos A =base/hypoteneuse

tan A=perpendicular/base

csc A =1/sin A

secA =1/cos A

and Cot A =1/ tan A

keeping values we get

sin A =3/6.71 =0.447

cos A =6/6.71 =0.894

tan A =3/6 =0.500

csc A =1/sin A =1/0.447 =2.236

sec A=1/cos A =1/0.894 =1.118

and Cot A =1/tan A =1/0.50 =2

 Suppose a = 3 and b = 6. Find an exact value or give at least two decimal places: sin(A) = cos(A) = tan(A) = sec(A) = csc(A) = cot(A) = SolutionIn the given qu
