Interviewing and observation both are method of collecting data .It Is most appropiate methods getting data ,analysis and conclude .

In interviewing we directly ask desired questions from interviewer like whats your likes, dislikes ?what is your preference of buy?,what changes you want in brand? Etc.

In observation we simply observe the behaviour ,we see the changes in behaviour?,we check why people buying competitor product,why not buying ours?

Observation and interviews are two different things both can combine by asking directly observed behavior andget answer of your questions like,i observe people not buying my brand cloths than ask in interview why you are not buying my brand cloths?
