Retail shopping in a term used for store, where you can find different brands under one roof, here it is saying that growing retail grocery shopping is a relatively new segment, and consumers like to go for retail store, as it is complete place for all the house hold needs.
In today’s time, people prefer to make food at home instead of buying it from outside, various reasons are there such as hygienic factors, increasing interest in cooking, healthier option and many more
With growing retail stores in today’s time, it is beneficial for both buyers and supplier for products to readily available and there is always a stock of products in store. Suppliers also get benefit from this as they will have their products sold from farm to the market where consumer can buy them easily.
Again healthier option is first preference of consumers in today’s time, this will increase the sales of the products
Threats
With the growing retail stores, there is always a competition with the price, to increase the sales of your store, you need to have a price which is relatively less than the other stores, or you have to keep discounts or some sort of offer to attract people. This reduces the overall profit of the store.
Again every second day, you’ll find a new competitor in the market and to keep the pace of sale you need to change your strategy time to time, this causes time spoilage in designing new techniques in short span of time.
Sometimes weather also effects the sales as delivery of products depends on it and due to bad weather, pereciable products get spoil and increases cost to the company.
With the changes in the menu, you also need to change the products to make customer take the new product for home cook.
