Beneficial aspects of Microbes : The organisms which are too small to visible to our naked eyes and visible only through microscope are considered as microbes or microorganisms.They include bacteria,virus,fungi,protists,etc.They play a crucial role in ecosystem in decomposition of organic waste and adding nutrients to the soil.

1)Food and Beverages: The usage of microorganisms in food is known from ages,they are useful in the production of bread,yogurt,wine,alcohol etc.Lactobacillus is used to convert milk to curd,Yeast fungi is used in fermentation of alcohol,even in bakery\'s items and tiffin items like idly,dosa,etc.

2)Micro Flora: Microbes are not only present outside but also inside our body in our intestine also,they are considered as micro flora,they are useful in digestion,production of vitamin k that helps in blood clotting and preventing invasion of fatal microbes.

3)Pharmaceuticals :Many microbes are useful in production of useful antibiotics,almost all antibiotics are obtained from microbes only like penicillin,streptomycin, amphicillin etc.Even vaccines are generated through attenuated microbes only.

4)Ecology: Microbes play two vital roles in environment in soil enriching and cleaning the environment.Nitrogen fixing bacteria like Rhizobium,Azotobacter are useful to fix atmospheric nitrogen to useful nitrates and nitrites to plants and almost all microbes are useful in decomposition of dead organic matter and waste and converts pollutants to useful inorganic nutrients.

5)Biotechnology:By using Biotechnology techniques we can generate human insulin,growth hormones,many useful substances.Microbes are also used in drug delivery systems in the form of vectors and plasmids.
