a) 3A - 2B = C

3A = [ 9 3x

3y 12 ]

2B = [ 2z 6

3A - 2B = [ 9 -2z 3x- 6

8-3y 14]

C = [-1 6

4 14 ]

9 -2z =-1

-2z = -10

z =5

3x -6 = 6

x =4

8 -3y =4

3y =4

y =4/3

b) AB = C

[ 3z +3x 9-x

yz +16 3y -4]

9 -x =6

x =15

3y -4 = 14

y =6

yz +16 =4

yz = -12

6y =-12

y =-2

c) AB = D

[ 3z +3x 9-x

yz +16 3y -4]

9 -x =9

x =18

3y-4 = -1
