Q)

1. In triangle A, the longer leg is 6 more than the shorter leg and the hypotenuse is 6 more than the longer leg.

Let the length of shorter leg be x units

Therefore length of longer leg is (x + 6 ) units

Also length of hypothenuse = (x + 12) units

Now as per pythagorus theorm

hyp^2 = longerleg^2 + shorterleg^2

(x+12)^2 = (x+6)^2 + x^2

x^2 + 24x + 144 = x^2 + 36 + 12x + x^2

x^2 - 12x - 108 = 0

x = 18,6

Hence the pythagorean edges are ether 6, 12 & 18

or 18,24,30
