2x^6 -x^5 +8x^2-4x=0 (r1= 1/2, r2= 1+j)

Solution

zeroes are x=1/2 ,x=1+i,x=1-i

that is (2x-1)(x-1-i)(x-1+i)=2x³-x²+6x-2

2x⁶-x⁵+8x²-4x=0

x(2x⁵-x⁴+8x-4)=0

x(x⁴(2x-1)+4(2x-1))=0

x(2x-1)(x⁴+4)=0

x=0, (2x-1)(x⁴+4)/(2x³-x²+6x-2)=0

x=0,x²+2x+2=0

x=0,x=-1+i, -1-i

so the zeroes are

x=0,1/2,1+i,1-i,-1+i,-1-i
