Both mitosis and meiosis go through the chromosomal replication, meiosis 2 is similar to mitosis,both pass through interphase, prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase and Telophase. Crossing of homologous Chromosomes occur in meiosis but not in mitosis, daughters has half of the number of chromosomes of that parent in meiosis but same number in mitosis. Mitosis occur in somatic cells and meiosis occur in reproductive cells.
