Divide the rational expressions and simplify 7x 614x 6 28x

Divide the rational expressions and simplify 7(x + 6)/14(x - 6) 28(x + 6)/11 Enter the fully factorized form of the answer. Enclose numerators and denominators in parentheses For example, (a - b)/(1 + n). State any real numbers that must be excluded from the domain. The field below accepts a list of numbers or formulas separated by semicolons (e.g. 2; 4; 6 or x + 1; x - 1). The order of the list does not matter. x notequalto

Solution

7 (x+6) / 14 ( x-6 ) / 28 (x+6) / 11

applying property of division to change division in to multiplication by flipping the other fraction

7 (x+6) / 14 ( x-6 ) * 11 / 28 (x+6)

cancelling out the common factors from top and bottom we get

11 / 56 (x-6 )

we are left with

(11) / 56 (x-6)

domain is all real numbers except x = 6

hence , x = 6 is excluded from domain
