Machine A ---> Cp = (USL – LSL)/(6*Standard Deviation) = (2.7-2.3)/6*0.3 = 0.22
Machine B ---> Cp = (USL – LSL)/(6*Standard Deviation) = (2.7-2.3)/6*0.04 = 1.67
Machine C ---> Cp = (USL – LSL)/(6*Standard Deviation) = (2.7-2.3)/6*0.2 = 0.33
Machine B has high process capability and hence is capable of producing within specifications
