12. Find the applied voltage necessary to develop the current specified in each circuit in Fig. 5.99
Solution
a. First there are three resistors in the circuit that is 12,4,6 kilo Ohm .
and they are in series so they will simply add up
kilo ohm means 1000ohm
Since 1mA=10-3 A
So by the Formula V=IR
V=(4x10-3)x(22000)
since 12+4+6=22kOhm=22000ohm
So V=88volts.
b.Again here we have total register is in series ie 10+82+22+12=126ohm(note here its not kila ohm)
and the current is, I=500mA
So by V=IR
V=(500x10-3)x126=63Volts.
