Opportunities in terms of better health, better education etc and necessities in industries and employment favour the increase in such forms of intelligence. So by these terms we can assume people are getting smarter

Because of exposure and opportunities people are also getting good not only at one intelligence but in multiple intelligences.

Also exposure and knowledge make them become smarter at handling day to day issues which have remained a part and parcel of a human life for centuries
