What is the sex of an individual with Klinefelter syndrome
Solution
The sex of an individual with Klinefelter syndrome is male. The syndrome results from having more than one X chromosome in males (XXY). This chromosomal abnormality affects the cognitive and physical development in males. Symptoms include small testes and genitals, growth of breasts, less body hair, weak muscles, greater height, poor coordination, less sex interest, difficulties in reading and speech problems. No cure is available for the syndrome but treatments like physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, counselling, testesterone replacement are useful.
