In the insect order Hymenoptera (ants, wasps & bees), males are haploid and females are diploid. The logic is behind the haplodiploidy hypothesis as a potential source of eusociality in these animals because female workers are going to increase their own sister population by manipulating colonies so that a female biased sex ratio is going to be generated. Therefore, it can be concluded that many of eusocial Hymenoptera species are eusocial & haploidiploid but all eusocial species are not completely belongs to Hymenoptera or haplodiploid. This is due to natural selection that favors evolution of sterile female species in this “order” due to genetic variation so that solitary females have low ability to establish a proper viable nest rather than inbred colonies because of haplodiploid nature
