Suppose you work in the HR department of a company that wants to hire production workers as independent contractors. What advice would you give management about this idea?
Solution
In such a scenario, I would advice the management that if the company is planning to have some specific production to happen or wants to hire independent contractors to match the production of excessive demand for a short time, then hiring production workers as independent contractors is a brilliant idea. Because once the work will be finished, they can be paid and released. But, if the organization is considering to hire such independent workers for a long time, then I won’t support the idea. As I believe that fulltime production workers who would be employees of the organization can do the job more responsibly in long run rather than independent contractors.
