Slick has just been charged and indicted for two counts of burglary. Since Slick has been declared indigent, the judge ponders her options for providing Slick legal counsel. What are the judge’s options? State them and explain which one you would have chosen as the judge. (Justice Admin)

Solution

According to the Law, if some person is indigent (poor or needy) and cannot afford the fees for the lawyer and court room proceedings, then the Jugde can grant him any civil court lawyer for his case

There are two options

1) Either the culprit can himself fight the case for his defense

2) Secondly, the Judge can appoint anyone else to fight the case for his defense

Since the person who is poor and needy, most probably will be an illiterate person hence won\'t be able to come up with the court proceedings, hence it will be a good option for him to provide him with a lawyer from civil court to fight his case
