During depression of freezing point in a solution the follow

During depression of freezing point in a solution the following are in equilibrium
(A) liquid solvent, solid solvent
(B) liquid solvent, solid solute
(C) liquid solute, solid solute
(D) liquid solute solid solvent

Solution

(A)
At the freezing point liquid and solid remain in equilibrium. If a solution of a non−volatile solute is
cooled to a temperature below the freezing point of solution, some of liquid solvent will separate
as a solid solvent and thus the concentration of solution will increase.

During depression of freezing point in a solution the following are in equilibrium (A) liquid solvent, solid solvent (B) liquid solvent, solid solute (C) liquid
