People who ate Frosted Flakes as children had half the cancer rate of those who never ate this food. Conversely, those who often ate oatmeal were four times more likely to develop cancer than those who did not. Does this mean that Frosted Flakes cereal prevents cancer and oatmeal causes it? Explain your response.
Solution
Cancer is the disease that is diganosed at later years of everyone life. The people eating frosted flakes are typically younger age in the form of Pizza\'s or extra toppings. The concept of oat meal cereal is introduced in the recent times, 10 years back, hence the old age generation don\'t have oatmeals at the time when they were young
This explains that it doesn\'t mean that Frosted Flakes cereal prvents cancer and oatmeal causes it, since the population attracted towards frosted flakes are mostly young which are healthier than the old people
