Corporations have had a difficult time, at times, balancing profits and obligations to shareholders and what the majority of people feel is moral in particular cases. For example, it is legal to produce textiles overseas where child labor is acceptable; however, many a textile seller has faced harsh criticism and boycotts for doing so (e.g., Kathy Lee Gifford scandal). Should US corporations be held to the same standards we require in the US when they are operating in other countries? Should they be held accountable morally for engaging in what we would consider unethical conduct? In your opinion, how should that relate and/or affect a corporation\'s duty to earn a profit for shareholders? Be sure to comment upon at least two other students\' posts in addition to your own.

Corporations should be accountable for their practices for their operations oustide USA also because they are trying to avoid laws of US by using other countries.

We have seen so many scandals where country which is operating and having market in USA are trying to avoid taxes by showing their firms as non USA firms. Due to this type of practices these people are allegdly cheating people and their country. These type of practices are unethical because they are misusing the other countries rules for their benefits. These may be good by the code of conduct but are not ethical.

These Corporation are trying to do these type of practices so that they can earn profit to share holders. Business should be driven by profits but they should not forget moral values and should not follow unethical means for earning profits to its share holders.
