The Equal Employment Opportunity Commissions stated mission
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s stated mission is to stop and remedy unlawful employment discrimination. With a 2015 federal budget of over $365 million dollars, they will process over 88,000 cases against private and public sector firms. Since 2008, they have asked to significantly increase their budget to pursue more cases. If you were the U.S. President, would you agree with them? Why, or why not?
Solution
There are both scenarios possible where a president may or may not increaae the budget to pursue such cases but in my opinion, if I am US president, I\'d choose to increase the budget but not by much. Why?
Because theydt need funds to chase those cases in the beginning but in the long run, EEOC can fund great part of finances it needs by the way of compensation and fee it receives because, if convictions are proved, punitive damages would in financing further cases.
Also from a moral aspect, it is required to be chased such cases to prevent increase in any such cases.
