Which of the following is a correct equation for the linear graph shown below? (1) 2y +3x=-6 (2) 3y-2x=-6 (3) 2y+3x=-2 (4) 3y-2x=-2 COMMON CORE GEOMETRY, UNIT ASSESSMENTS-UNIT HS eMATH INSTRUCTION, RED HOOK, NY 12571, © 2017

Solution

From the graph the slope of the graph is positive

On comparing with slope intercept equation y=mx+c,

The option that have positive slope is option 2 and option 4.

Since the graph passes throufh (3,0) therefore the option that satisfies this is only option number 2 which is

3y-2x=-6

Hence correct option is 2.
