Cellular Backhaul :

Speaking in terms of Telecommunication terms, a Backhaul network is the intermediatory between Base Station Controller(BSC/RNC) to the Cell Sites(BTS, eNode etc). It carries the voice, data, Audio, video etc between BSC and Cell Sites. It is the one which categorizes the data into Voice, Audio etc and sends to BSC.

It can be of two types Wired Backhaul network and Wierles Backhaul Network. Based on the budget and space the telecom operators installs this backhaul Newtork.
