The salary of the facility director is more or less dependent on the size of the industry, location, years of experience, level of education, company size etc. However the salary is lower than the rest of the hotel\'s executive committee because of the varied reasons such as:

1.Level of education: For a facility manager , the undergraduate or graduate level of education is required and thus making their salary obviouly lower than the rest of the staff.

2. Task: The task of facility manager is generally to lead and manage the task of others, thus giving us another reason for a low salary.

3. Reporting: They have to report to the head of the department or unit and thus ensuring a low level in hierarchy.
