The US energy independence has recently become a hot topic. The recent low price of oil has made it more relevant once again. Do you think more oil drilling in the USA will make the US more energy independent? If you believe so, provide your arguments. Solution

I disagree with this. We can increase oil production from oil drilling or framing but only in short run In longrun these resources will get exhausted because they are non renewable. Further it is costly and led to massive pollution.

The USA can become energy independent in true sense only by focusing on RandD of renewable sources of energy. E. G fusion technology will be cheap and sustainable
