Do people need autonomy? Create an argument that supports the idea that encouraging autonomy does not discourage accountability.

Solution

People need autonomy to eliminate bureaucracy and long delays due to circuitous procedures that often defeat the very purpose of the exercise. They need it because in today\'s extremely demanding and ever changing business environment, making timely decision is of paramount importance, that can be accomplished only with autonomy. However, the degree of autonomy should always come with even higher levels if accountability so that the person granting autonomy can justify his / her decision of showing belief in the person accountable. Both virtues with a balanced level of each, make for a winning combination.
