Since we are looking at body systems which work together for
Solution
a. The circulatory and respiratory system are connected with each other at lungs. The circulatory system needs oxygen from the lungs to circulate to different organs of the body. The blood is circulated through smaller arterioles until it flows through capillaries lining the lungs alveolar sacs.
b. The digestive system interacts with the circulatory system at the small intestine level where the absorbed nutrients from the food in the body is passed onto the circulatory system which carries to different organs of the body. While the circulatory system carries the signals in the form of hormones from the endocrine system to control the speed of digestion.
c. The interaction of the circulatory system with immune system lies in the fact that immune system travels through the entire body inside the circulatory system. The spleen produces antibodies against the foreign pathogens which is carried to the site of infection through the circulatory system.
d. The Digestive tract is one of the mechanisms by which the body is exposed to tremendous numbers of pathogenic organisms each day and the interaction with the immune system with digestive tract helps to protect from infection by these potential invaders.
e. The digestive system is dependent on the respiratory system for molecular contraction to digest the food. The muscles involved in the contractions need oxygen to function. The respiratory system involves exhalation and inhalation which is carried out the muscles and these muscles require energy in the form of carbohydrate and fat that is supplied by the digestive system.
