6. JUndue Pressure. Georgia-Pacific is a large paper manufacturer which produces mer and commercial paper and packaging products. It is a member of BAM Business for Affordable Medicine), a bill-the Greater Access of Affordable Pharmaceuticals Act of 2002-which would allow generic versions of brand-name drugs to come to market more quickly. Generics retail at a lower cost than brand-name drugs. This would reduce national spending on prescription drugs by at least $60 billion in the following ten years. It would save Georgia-Pacific a great deal of money as it employs 35,000 people and provides a prescription drug benefit to its employees n organization which supports a Congressional One of Georgia-Pacific\'s largest clients is Eli Lilly&Company;, a pharmaceutical company which produces brand-name drugs. Naturally, Eli Lilly is against bringing generics to the market quickly as that would cut into Eli Lilly\'s sales. Observers believed Eli Lilly was exerting pressure on Georgia-Pacific and other BAM members to withdraw from BAM. Georgia-Pacific makes millions of dollars from Eli Lilly, but could also save millions of dollars in prescription costs. According to the 9-4-02 edition of the Wall Street Journal, Jim Boling, a Georgia- Pacific sales manager, stated in an email he was: \"getting more concerned we may lose our business position if this is not managed correctly, and Lilly\'s plans for next year \"could mean millions of dollars in paper business for us\". Georgia-Pacific then abandoned a leadership role in BAM for a passive position. Lilly denied threatening to \"pull any contracts\" over this issue and stated its communications with BAM members was a \"purely education process. Based on Actual Events
1. if i were the manager of the Georgia pacific, i will be using a moral rights model. Based on the model, an eethical decision that maintains the best interest of fundamental rights and priviledges of the people. here, affordable medicine is a fundamental right of every human being as well as employees. therefore i will advise my company to be a strong member of the association BAM. not becasue they can save millions on cost but thats the right thing to do their employees.
 2. If i am manger of the Eli lilly, i would agree with what Georgia pacific is doing and i will be supporting them in all way possible. Paper is not a last or only business i will be in. If paper industry is not performing well, i will diversify to other segments and domains. So, i will advise them to stay out of it and ask them to choose what they feel is right according to them and i will support ot honour their decision.
