Solve for v v 2v 4 v 3v 1 1Solutionv2v4 v3v1 1 Taking

Solve for v. v + 2/v + 4 = v + 3/v + 1 + 1

Solution

(v+2)/(v+4) = (v+3)/(v+1) +1

Taking (v+1) as lcd on right

(v+2)/(v+4) = ( v +3 + v +1)/(v+1)

(v+2)/(v+4) = (2v +4)/(v+1)

(v+2)(v+1) = (2v+4)(v+4)

v^2 + 3v +2 = 2v^2 + 12v +16

v^2 +9v +14 =0

solve the quadratic : (v+2)(v+7) =0

So, solution for v : v= -2 , -7

 Solve for v. v + 2/v + 4 = v + 3/v + 1 + 1Solution(v+2)/(v+4) = (v+3)/(v+1) +1 Taking (v+1) as lcd on right (v+2)/(v+4) = ( v +3 + v +1)/(v+1) (v+2)/(v+4) = (2
