Find the area of the shaded region. The graph to the right depicts IQ scores of adults, and those scores are normally distributed with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15.

Solution

The problem is incomplete, it must have given some value of IQ in the figure below which we need to find the area, please post the image i am giving the generic method

Let the IQ for which we need to find the area be x

Step-1: Find the z-score

z-score = (x(given iq value) - 100(mean))/15(standard deviation)

Step-2: Look for the z-score corresponding to the percentage of area

P(z<z-score) = value

That value is the amount of area under the shaded graph, please post the image then i can even plug the values for the problem

Find the area of the shaded region. The graph to the right depicts IQ scores of adults, and those scores are normally distributed with a mean of 100 and a stand
