Find the area of the shaded region. The graph to the right depicts IQ scores of adults, and those scores are normally distributed with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15.

Let the IQ for which we need to find the area be x

Step-1: Find the z-score

z-score = (x(given iq value) - 100(mean))/15(standard deviation)

Step-2: Look for the z-score corresponding to the percentage of area

P(z<z-score) = value
