Analyze the generic concept of windows used on PCs and MACs
Analyze the (generic) concept of “windows” used on PCs and MACs as part of a user-friendly GUI interface. (i.e. What are they? What are they used for? What do they look like? Do they move, and if so, how? Why do you think they were named “windows”?)
Solution
The word GUI -stands for graphical user interface and as the name itself suggests-it allows interactions of users with electrical devices. All it needs is a set of commands to be keyed in.
In the PC\'s and MAC\'s terminology-windows is a GUI. It is nothing but a screen large enough to view a text or a file or an image. In simple terms it is such an interface that was built for the interaction of people with the system. Many icons ,files, directories and etc that can manipulated by the user are present here. It allows manipulations in the form of opening and closing tabs, moving them or dragging them or adjusting them .Windows is basically in a horizontal shape. The name windows was given because it was just like a window that allowed people to view what they wanted to in terms of various files and images or videos and etc and perform their respective operations.
