the rise in sea level ould have the units of length that is meters . we are given that the volume of ice sheet is 3 million cubic kilometers and hen it completely melts the ice releases = 2.2 million cubic kilometers of ater .

SO the volume has the units of length^3

and this volume of water spreads over 342 million square kilometers of surface area.

the area has units of length^2

Dividing the volume by the area would give us the length or the rise in the sea level :

=> 2.2/342 = 0.0064 km = 6.4 meters (approximately)

Hence the sea level would rise by 6.4 m
