I think American manufacturing companies will come back to the US. The companies operate in China mainly because of the cheap labor. However, with time the labor cost in China will rise and manufacturing in China will not be substantially beneficial in China. Also, technological innovation like automation in the US can make it cheaper to manufacture in the US. Therefore, once it is more cost-effective to manufacture in the US, the firms will come back to the US.
