1. Mitochondria, a cell organelle that is found in cell responsible for generation of ATP(Adenosine Tri Phosphate- a energy molecule) denegerates causing hinderence in its function of providing and formation of energy leading to non function of the cell or organs. This is due to the Cisd2 genes.
2. These Cisd2 genes may lead to autophagic cell death due to disintegrating myelin sheath of sciatic nerve.
3.There is breakdown of mitochondrial membrane of sciatic nerves and cardiac muscle leading to degeneration of both nerves and muscles in the said animal.
4. As mitochondria is important cell organelle for both nerves and muscles its degeneration will lead to appearance of old age and death.
