A home supplies manufacturer sells its products through household parties. Out of each party held, a skilled salesperson can develop 3 new parties for the next week. If a salesperson starts with 2 parties held the first week, how long will it take before she has held more than 300 parties?

Answer: Here the salesperson starts with 2 parties and she can develop 3 new parties from each of

    the party she is hving now. that would mean In the week 2 she will have 2 times 3 = 6 parties

    and in the third week she will manage another new 6 x 3 = 18 parties fr the next week that is

    for week 3 ( As she is skilled and can develop 3 parties on account of each new party she

    is helding this week). Hence assuming she can held as many parties as she get and going

in this manner and adding the number of parties she mange to held, we will get the following

    table or sequence shown below
