The Term Programme budgeting refers to the budgeting system that, unlike conventional budgeting, describes and gives the detailed costs of every activity or programme that is to be carried out with a given budget.
Program Budget is different from the line budget n the sense that Line Budget is a budget in which the individual financial statement items are grouped by cost centers or departments. It shows the comparison between the financial data for the past accounting or budgeting periods and estimated figures for the current or a future period.
