Solution

In generating machining, shape of work piece depends on the feed trajectory or movement of cutting tool. For Example, in staright turning, we can give different diameters from the same tool. Tapered turning, contour turning, plane milling etc are all generating machining.

In Copying machining(Forming machining), workpart geometry depends on geometry of cutting tool.

For Example, in Drilling, the bore diameter will be same as of the diameter of cutting tool and both are cylindrical.
