(please type answer)
Solution
Answer-
Plants are able to grow to hights of hundreds of feet. For example Redwoods in California.
As water is one of the essential component and required element for live and to perform photosynthesis in plants.
Plants such as trees absorb water through root and then transport water to leave through trunk which is known as xylem cells.Through this xylem system water can be transported to long distances. Hence in those plant xylem system is very strong and well developed, they can grow up to 100 of feet hights. This adaptation in xylem system makes the tree so high.
However, plants like mosses, where xylem is not developed at all. These plants get water by directly absorbing through their leaves or get moisturised from envirinoment through leaves. Hence get limited hight or short hight.
