Discuss the importance of identifying norms within a team. Why is clear communication considered an essential element during team development? Provide an example when you were a team member and the lack of communication caused significant problems for the team

As effective communication are the key players in team development and making coordination in work .

There are some specific reason why norms within a team are dependent on clear communication is because, people in a organization can come to agree on accepted norms,that only possible through the process of effective communication. Actually the development of identifying norms in a team or norms that bind a organization are only possible through team development .This only happens through clear communication. Successful norms are not merely implanted on a team or organization, they grow and develop through consistent and clear communication of team members. Team members assess which norms are working and which ones need improvement. This is the basis for clear communication. If this communication is absent, norms are no longer as effective, team members don\'t feel as if they have a voice, and the entire process of working as a unit through agreed norms breaks down. It is here where I think that clear communication becomes essential when identifying norms within a team.

* One example of my organization where i am currently working .My company is wire and cables manufacturing company and have a strong customers base in india .

Recently company launched smart dealer scheme ,as the scheme depend on volume purchase of wire in four months.

Scheme was superb and it gives 50% cash back of bulk purchase of wire to dealer and with so many gifts but due to the improper communication and coordination scheme was not much famoused as company expected .

Managers not coordinated well with team and field people\'s were not much effective in explaining the scheme as the scheme was fabulous.

Managers were not made effective plan to promote the scheme and even they were not worked with sales team properly .

That is the my personal experience about the communication and effective team development .
