Sorry, need clarification, I got conflicting answers.

I was curious as to H2CO3 Ph 4.7 + H2CO3 pOh 9.3 = HCO3- Ph 9.3 + HCO3- POh 4.7?

Solution

H2CO3 (aq) + OH- <------------> HCO3- (aq) + H2O (l)

H2CO3 transfers a proton(H+ ion) to OH- and form H2O and HCO3- ion , now on the product side the H2O is capable of donating a proton and HCO3- is capable of accepting a proton so, acid as bases are;

Here, pH of H2CO3 is equal to the pOH of the HCO3-

Both will have same values
