a data is said to be big data if it follows the follwoing characterstics
1)velocity-->it describe the fast the data is producing
2)variety---> it describes how the different is data from other data
3)volume----> it describes how big is the data that is producing
4)varasity---> it describes how accurate the data is producing

=>there no potencial application found according to my environment but i give you the bigdata application
which everybody knows ,iam taking amazon
=>amazon is one of the biggest ecom agent which will have million transactions a day according to analysis amazon will produce 10 million transaction on a busy dayif you think this for a day then what will be for a month,year,for last 5 years .it will be so huge to processs the data

why to process the data..?
because they may get the unknown result by processing the data and they will get benifited

for example : if amazon need to know how many percentage of specific item is selling more from last 5 years
if he knows this result he may improve his product and quality and improve the productivity and business

pros
1)the big data may improve the quality in the business
2)it will gives profits and improvements in business

cons
1)it doesnt support regular DBMS
2)it requires new architecture to maintain it
