1 Answer the questions a Is there any difference between the
Solution
1) Saturated Vapor: It is the one that is going to condense. A vapor that exists at saturated temperature (Tsat), a slight decrease in temperature or increase in pressure leads to the condensation.
Saturated mixture : A mixture of saturated liquid and saturated vapor in equilibrium.
There are no differences between the intenive properties saturated vapor at a given temperature T and vapor of a saturated mixture at the same temperature T. The properties are the same.
2) Difference between the critical point and the triple point:
Critical point : It is the end point of phase equilibrium curve. The point where there is no distinct vaporisation phase. Saturated vapor and saturated liquid meet at this point. Only these two phases are present.
Triple point : It is the point where three equilibrium curves meet. All the three phases are present at this point. The fusion line, sublimation and vaporisation line meet at this point.
