What is the total magnification of your microscope if the ocular has 10X, the objective lens is 43X and the condenser lens is 20X.
Solution
Magnification can be calculated by multiplying the magnification of ocular and objective only. Condenser is not considered for magnification calculation since it condenses light only. Not magnifies the image.
So 10X x 43X = 430X
