Solution

1)   P(x) = x^3 + 12x^2 + 9x – 22

P(x) = 0 =====> (x - 1)(x + 11)(x + 2) = 0

x = 1, -11, -2

P(x) = (x - 1)(x + 11)(x + 2)

2)   P(x) = x^4 + 12x^3 + 31x^2 - 12x – 32

P(x) = 0 =====> (x + 1)(x - 1)(x + 4)(x + 8) = 0

x = -1, 1, -4, -8

P(x) = (x + 1)(x - 1)(x + 4)(x + 8)

3)   P(x) = 4x^4 - 45x^2 + 81

P(x) = 0 =====> (x - 3)(2x - 3)(2x + 3)(x + 3) = 0

x = 3, 3/2, -3/2, -3

P(x) = (x - 3)(2x - 3)(2x + 3)(x + 3)

4) P(x) = 6x^4 - 7x^3 - 13x^2 + 4x + 4

P(x) = 0 =====> (x - 2)(x + 1)(2x + 1)(5x - 3) = 0

x = 2, -1, -1/2, 3/5

P(x) = (x - 2)(x + 1)(2x + 1)(5x - 3)
