3x+4y=88 ....................................(1)

x+y=24 ...................................(2)

x=24-y

put the value of x in equation (1)

3(24-y)+4y=88

72-3y+4y=88

y= 88-72

y= 16

x= 24-y

x= 24-16= 8

so she should take 8 class for 3 credit and 16 class for 4 credit.
