IT governance defines the protocols and policies that supports the IT operations within an organization. It enables a organization to achieve it\'s goals by defining the support policies.It is a subset of corporate governance policies.

So we can say it is a framework which define the rules and policies to use IT efficiently and enables the organization to achieve it\'s goals.

(A) Efficient IT services enablement -

IT governance defines the policies to use the IT services efficiently for an organization.It defines the scope of IT services inside the organization and uses of IT services, so that organization can make efficient use of IT services and this will support the business operations to achieve defined goals.

(B) Risk management -

Risk management is a crucial concern of corporate governance and we can say of IT governance. There are ridks inside an organization related to business process and IT processes. An unmanned risk is a waste of business efforts. So it should be managed in some manner. IT governance provides solutions to manage the risk factors related to business process and IT processes.

(C) IT services management -

IT governance manages the IT services inside an organization. It defines the protocols and rules to efficiently use of IT services. It defines the policies to run the business operations with support of IT services.

(D) Delivering values to business -

It governance support the business operations so that business process executed fast and delivering required outputs.

(E) Knowledge and data management -
