IT governance defines the protocols and policies that supports the IT operations within an organization. It enables a organization to achieve it\'s goals by defining the support policies.It is a subset of corporate governance policies.

So we can say it is a framework which define the rules and policies to use IT efficiently and enables the organization to achieve it\'s goals.

Risk management is a crucial concern of corporate governance and we can say of IT governance. There are ridks inside an organization related to business process and IT processes.
