As the Education committee in Parliament ends investigation of ghost teachers at Albert Academy, members of parliament in their conclusion stated that the Ministry of Education is aiding the existence of ghost teachers in Schools despite World Bank strides to end the presence of ghost teachers in schools.

The fourth Prosecuting Witness, Patrick Tarawallie, in the alleged Conspiracy, Robbery with Aggravation and Murder case involving Daniel S. Kamara a security attached to the Operational Security Division (OSD), has given a long testimony at the High Court No 2 at Siaka Steven Street before Justice Monfred M. Sesay, and the jury.
Led by State Counsel J.K. Sesay in a full court room on the 16th of November 2016, he testified that on the night of 31st December, 2014, at Tengbeh Town in Freetown, he heard fighting in the compound of Mr Abess (aka Super) and rushed to know what was happening there. Having arrived at the gate of the compound, he heard the deceased who was a gate keeper at the residence of Abess saying to the first accused “you again?”

In the murder trial of Momodu Alpha Jalloh, the High Court of Sierra Leone has decided to proceed with the matter in the hearing of eleven instead of twelve jurors.
The court came up with that decision due to the persistent absenteeism of the twelfth juror Osman Dumbuya, without any valid notice to the court.
Lead state prosecutor in a team of three, Joseph K. Sesay told the presiding judge, Monfred M. Sesay on Wednesday at the Siaka Steven Street court that the said juror had been absent on three adjourned dates and that Wednesday was the fourth.
“We have filed a written consent for the continuance of this matter in the presence of eleven jurors, pursuant to section 182(1) of the Criminal Procedure Act No.32 of 1965.”

Forty women beneficiaries of a loan grant in Moyamba District have called on the National Commission for Social Action (NACSA) to reduce the loan interest rate of 20% to 5% or 10% to enable them pay their loans at the stipulated time.
These women from Tamaraneh and Attitudinal Women\'s group in Moyamba town received a loan grant in December 2015 and March 2016 to be paid by instalment over a one-year period with 20% interest as part of the Micro Enterprise Group (MEG) through the Community Driving Development Project implemented by NACSA and funded by The African Development Bank (ADB).
