Is society obligated to care for the elderly who have been unable, unwillingly or unfortunate in their preparation for retirement?

Solution

Taking care of the elderly is not about obligation of any sorts as their children were take care for by them when they were in no postion
to take care of themselves . So its the chlidren who need to be there for their folks in their times of need.
and this should an obligation rather its the least they could do for their parents.
