Departments in Organization: These are defined as the organizational functions with their respective team of employees having common set of skills required for achieving the functional objectives, are known as departments of the organization. A organization is divided into multiple departments / function as below
Design Worked out :
We have engaged in a design project for our organization as below
Design Aim – We need to design a product smaller in size, which can reduce the material cost of the product, without affecting the customer requirements, and meeting product performance and reliability/durability targets.
CFT Design team: We had a cross functional team for design inputs from each department and we had worked out the small product design for the product in such a way that the product is meeting the customer requirements, performance and durability/reliability target with smaller in size and able to reduce the cost of materials by 10%.
This 10% reduction in material cost is the big achievement for the proposed design option. It was immediately approved by the management.
Development at Suppliers: The new components of the product are developed and procured from the current vendors. These components are tested and approved by our engineering and quality department.
Product Approval: This product was tested and approved by our engineering testing department and they approved it. Later this product was tested and approved by the customer.
Production Start: With the customer approval, the production of the product is started and being dispatched to customer for their regular use. Thus this makes the release of new product in our organization with reducing the material cost by 10%.
