(a) What current flows through R1, R2, and R3?

(b) What is the absolute value of the potential difference across R1, R2, and R3?

I1 =  A
I2 =  A
I3 =  A

Solution

Let the voltage of top point wrt bottom point be x then we have

x/R3+(x+e2)/R2+(x-e1)/R1 = 0

gives

x/70+(x+359)/24.4+(x-40)/89.9=0

on solving we get x = -214.9

so

I1=(x-40)/89.9=-2.84A

I2=(x+359)/24.4=5.91A

I3=x/70=-3.07A

|VR1|=x-40=254.9

|VR2|=x+359=144.1

|VR3|=x=214.9

(a) What current flows through R1, R2, and R3? (b) What is the absolute value of the potential difference across R1, R2, and R3? I1 = A I2 = A I3 = A SolutionLe
