The Unit 3 Discussion is designed for you to consider how a business might implement corporate social responsibility in their value chain.

1-Put on your entrepreneur hat! Assume the role as the founder of a fictional company. Describe (you may decide) what type of company, the location, and the societal variables relevant to your fictional company.

2-You know your value chain will benefit from implementing corporate socially responsible programs. You know the employees, customers, and societal environment will take notice and you will increase your company’s competitive advantage. You have made the decision to improve your results by adding corporate social responsibility to your value chain’s elements.

3-Explain how you will implement corporate social responsibility in your business.

What do you need to know in order to decide what types of corporate social responsibility efforts will benefit your company? What expectations do you have related to costs and benefits? To what extent can your business demonstrate corporate social responsibility? What can you do without any cost or use of resources?

What are the pros and cons of the corporate responsibility programs you are considering? Do the pros outweigh the cons? Explain.

Describe how your business can demonstrate corporate responsible behavior. What will you do and how will employees, customers and society know?

Solution

1).I would like to be a founder of comapny who is making solid bio mass pellets with 100 MT capacity per day production.In Maharastra and Gujarat-India.

I am socially attached with farmers and i am collecting residue of farm from farmers and will make solid bio mass pellets.

2).I am taking raw material from farmers so for help them and as a company owner i will do activities for devlop villeges make collection centers from where i can collect raw material and for that up to collection center i will make better roads and that will be helpful to farmers in their villages.and will improve my network and chain and again that will helpful to employees who are working from same villages.so this way social responsibility will helpful in value chain elements.

3).Any way i have to develpo my network and speed of my work for growth.I will make a roads to villages from where i am getting raw material.so my work will be done with higher speed.alog with that famers will get relief against bad roads from villgaes.Whole village can get benifit of same road whether they are employee of Raw material suppier of my company or not.

4).Village people will attact with other farmers to work towards my company to give material.

All employess,villgers and other people will know and aware about my company.

Farmers can get money for thain main products but with my company\'s aim they are getting money from residue of farm that is great thing for them.so response will be great.

5).Responses are:

a).Get income of their residue along with their main product to great source of earning for them.they can earn higher than before.

b). No need to burn residue in farm now they can get earn from their residue.

c).Infrastructure of village improving with roads so they will be very happy.

c).Non employee or suppliers can also get benifits of that roads.

d).Other farmers are also move towars for cultivate same products hat we are using in my company as a araw material for more earning.

e).WIll hire people from same villages so they can get recrutment and earn more money.
